The PeriGirls Interview Mitch About Live Streaming Legal Issues

The PeriGirls with Mitch Jackson

The #PeriGirls is a group of more than 9,000 women sharing a common goal of empowering women to make lives better and a vision of caring and helping others.

I was honored to be a guest on their show (thanks JennyQ) and have the chance to answer legal and business questions revolving around online business and live streaming. Click here to meet these amazing women and to watch the recorded show on Blab!

During the show I advised The PeriGirls to contact a lawyer in their city and state (I’m licensed in California) if they have any legal questions or needs. What I didn’t do is tell them how to go about doing so.

To help them do just that, I’m sharing the following resources that should be of help (all you need to do is simply modify the questions to focus on the type of lawyer you need- copyright, business formation, litigation…)

Three Good Ways for The PeriGirls to Find a GREAT Lawyer!

Nine Questions The PeriGirls Should Ask Every Lawyer They Are Thinking About Hiring

mitch_jackson_periscopeDuring today’s follow-up Periscope, I also mentioned a great resource to learn more about Copyright law relating to social media and live streaming. That resource is the SocialMediaExaminer blog which has several outstanding posts on copyright and intellectual property aka IP Law. To find the articles, simply type “copyright” into the search box. One good article on copyright law I often share with clients and friends is right here 🙂
