I was recently honored to be profiled in a new blog post by friend, David Meerman Scott. I first connected with David last summer after my daughter, AJ, met him while interning for Bryan Elliott of LinkedOC. Our daughters are the same age and David was kind enough to give AJ several business success tips.
I’ve since read and put to use the information found in several of David’s books. Here’s the link to David’s post if you’re interested in seeing one way my law firm is building new relationships and walking the talk on social and the internet.
For those of you not familiar with David, it’s important to know that he’s an internationally acclaimed strategist whose books and blog are must-reads for professionals seeking to generate attention in ways that grow their business. He is author or co-author of 10 books, three of which are international bestsellers. One of these, “The New Rules of Marketing & PR”, is now in its 4th edition and has been translated into 26 languages and is used as a text in hundreds of universities and business schools worldwide. One of my interviews with David can be viewed here.
Joe is the winner of the 2014 John Caldwell Lifetime Achievement Award from the Content Council. Joe’s third book, “Epic Content Marketing: How to Tell a Different Story, Break through the Clutter, and Win More Customers by Marketing Less” was named one of “Five Must Read Business Books of 2013” by Fortune Magazine. You can find Joe on Twitter @JoePulizzi. And one more thing, if you ever see Joe in person, he’ll be wearing orange!

Want to know the biggest mistake most trial lawyers make during opening statement and closing argument? Interested in knowing the biggest mistake many keynote speakers make from the stage while presenting to a large audience?
Here you go!
David is an internationally acclaimed business, marketing and PR strategist. He’s also a world traveler who shares his personal (surfing, ice diving, mountain bike riding) and business experiences online via posts, pictures, videos and from the stage in front of large audiences.
He is the author or co-author of ten books – three of which are international bestsellers. The New Rules of Marketing & PR, now in its 4th edition, has been translated into 26 languages and is used as a text in hundreds of universities and business schools worldwide. It is a modern business classic with over 300,000 copies sold so far.
We’ll chat about his latest book (and my favorite), “The New Rules of Sales and Service” and how you can use agile, selling, real-time customer engagement, big data, content, and storytelling to grow your business. My personal favorite chapter in the new book is about the concept of “Newsjacking”. Get the book and find out why!
