I enjoyed being interviewed earlier this week by Travis Hise and Kara Prior of James Publishing. It’s always fun to have the opportunity to share social media and digital tips to help other lawyers build their brand and make an impact using social media.
I’m honored to have written Chapter 12, “13 Ways Lawyers Can Repurpose Content on Social Media” in this new book by David M. Britton, CEO of PracticePanther. It’s titled, “The Secrets To Marketing & Automating Your Law Practice: A Lawyers Guide To Creating Systems, Getting Clients, & Becoming A Legal Rainmaker.”
While every chapter provides massive real-world value, my two favorites are by contributing friends and experts, Nicole Abboud of AbboudMedia (“Branding Bootcamp 101”) and Nick Rishwain of Experts.com (“Multi-Platform Publishing & Scheduling”).
It’s been a busy February. Here’s what we’ve been up to!
I’m getting ready to add a few new private interviews and valuable resources to the LegalMinds Mastermind (not just for lawyers). If you’re a professional who’s looking to up your game on the digital platforms in 2018, this is the place you want to be!
Social Media for Professionals
At the same time, we’ve started to create our new online course titled, “Social Media for Professionals.” This is where we’ll be sharing in an online modular format (text, audio and video), easy to understand and implement steps to help professionals to create top-of-mind awareness and expand their brands from local to global. The course goes live in December 2018. Get on my private email list for updates, pre-release “list only” substantial 50% discount pricing, and other benefits today!
The LegalHour.live is a brand new weekly live video show that I believe is going to be the best (and only?) talk show on business, digital, and the law. With my input as a litigation and trial lawyer and, Joey Vitale’s expert perspective as a lawyer specializing on the creative and Intellectual Property side of law and business, I believe this show is going to be very special.
Each week we’ll be covering trending topics and insider tips to help keep you and your business protected and empowered. Our first episode is Wednesday, March 7th at 2 pm ET and titled, “Can you Trademark a Popular Hashtag Like #MeToo #Covfefe or #NeverAgain?”
Most of you know I grew up riding and racing motocross. Up until a few years ago, you could find old #28 down at the Southern California tracks riding with friends and racing in the 40 and over Vet Series on weekends.
Turning laps, negotiating whoops, and clearing the jumps were things we enjoyed doing each week. Those of us who sprang for the more expensive high octane VP racing fuel enjoyed the additional snap and performance the fuel added to our weekend efforts and racing results.
Similar to what I experienced on the motocross track, I’ve noticed that adding social media to my law firm’s marketing efforts is a lot like adding high-performance racing fuel to our branding efforts. Things happen much faster.
What I’ve also noticed about adding social media to the legal profession is that with this extra power comes new responsibilities (or opportunities if you’re a glass-half-full kind of guy or gal). Just like we paid attention to, and took advantage of, the extra horsepower our racing fuel provided during races, law firms using social media also need to get ready for the new volume of emails, direct messages, and other incoming engagements that will come flying their way.
When you tap into the power of social media, you’re riding on a brand new track. Everything’s faster, the whoops are deeper, and the jumps are longer. At the same time, the potential rewards are also much greater!
In our LegalMinds Mastermind community, we show everyone how to add this new digital racing fuel to their daily business development efforts. We help our community create a powerful digital top-of-mind awareness that with a bit of knowledge, practice and time, enables them to expand their brand from local to global.
When you’re ready to raise the bar and take things to the next level, step away from the spectators in the stands and join us over at the stating gate at LegalMinds (not just for lawyers). I think you’ll quickly discover the power of social media and what all the excitement is about in this close-knit global mastermind community.
Related: I’ll be speaking more about these “social media racing skills” at the upcoming Maximum Lawyer Conference in St. Louis Missouri May 17-18th. Get in the game and join us!
Towards the end of 2017 I shared this little rant with my LegalMinds Mastermind. Today, I’m sharing it with you.
I believe there’s a right and wrong way to build your social media brand and business. This is especially true if you’re a professional.
With this in mind, this video shares one of the most important messages I’ve posted in years. I hope my short rant will help you find success in 2018!
